LivPak aims to empower all citizens and businesses in Africa by reducing energy poverty and increasing knowledge, feelings of security, personal freedom and expression – all aspects of of our lives that have a positive effect on happiness and well-being.

As a 4IR compliant solution to desperate unfulfilled needs in Africa, the LiveSure Group has developed the so-called “LivPak” single Unit Micro “Energy Vault” as part of its LivPak Living Security Program, providing for off-grid electrification (DC power), connectivity, entertainment and e-learning.

A basic package is provided as well as a choice on a retail basis to include DC appliances such as fans, televisions, gas stoves and fridges and suchlike and through InovaMedia smart communication devices (“eThin”) with access to educational content & entertainment.

InovaSure is the contracted service provider for the LivPak products and services and provides the hardware and software platform which is contained in a micro “Energy Vault” tower with battery storage, Solar Power, gas, water and other services, as well as maintenance and insurance.

A 4 meter steel structure (Micro “Energy Vault or “LivPak”) with Solar panels on top is erected in close proximity of an existing home/s. The LivPak provides power to 5 dwellings (6 panels x 395W)
and houses the battery and other equipment that ensures power, is available 24/7.

Each LivPak unit provides a maximum of 10617 Wh (Watt hours) per day for each dwelling for internal lights, external lights, control Box, cell phone charger, our so-called “Thin Client” technology which delivers remote computing, radio, DC Television, potable water and gas for stoves / heaters.

The ancillary services include broad band Internet access 50Mbit/s uncapped, fair use policy 5Gbit/Month, Voice over IP 30c/min. prepaid, Video on demand (2500 Movies), IPTV, other local and international content and virtual machine (Remote Desktop). It is therefore possible to watch real-time sports channels, popular video content, listen to music, read e-books, and complete educational content provided under contract to InovaLearn with access to BBC and other service providers.
InovaMedia South Africa is the contracted content service provider.

There is a surveillance camera on top of each LivPak installation providing the owner with security, monitored by the relevant community cluster members or commercial enterprise.

Propane gas is installed in the LivPak unit for on-demand gas cooking and heating devices as well as gas water heaters

LivPak and the LiveSure Group provides the quality, cost and scale of the services offered by linking each LivPak installation to a Virtual Private Network (VPN) which is backed by a very large remote computer with redundancy and is very secure. This is the brain of the services provided and took years to create. Private and personal access is provide to our clients on a VPN/fog-computing basis and when needed the internet.
The integrity and privacy of of clients is AT ALL TIMES ensured and the local contracting party is in full compliance with the relevant Data Protection, Electronic Communications and Protection of Personal Information Acts.

Insurance is a very important component of the LivPak offering. The LiveSure Group and the various Co-operatives are advised by Directix Risk Services (DRS) as actuarial consultant with regard to all the relevant risks for the LivPak Micro Energy Vault products.

Various next generation services (subject to T/C’s) will in due course also be provided such as a link to a 24-hour virtual diagnostic health service, banking services, etc.

Our business model is the provision of an energy system acceptable to our customers for a cost-effective fixed monthly payment.

• The LivPak Micro Energy Vault’s efficiency and capital cost is directly related to the customer’s needs.

• The LivPak customers are schools, community centres, homes in informal settlements and people and businesses who want to go off the Eskom Grid.

• The base infrastructure consists of solar panels, linked to several batteries, which provides uninterrupted power to multiple users on a node basis. Each client’s dwelling or commercial enterprise is then electrified and provided with a unit that operates as a smart meter and internet connection.

• The relevant schools and individual dwellers where we install our equipment join the LIVPAK Co-operative for the area in question and as part of the joining agreement, they sign a pre-paid electrification contract which includes InovaMedia and InovaLearn access – termed the Services and Product Purchase Agreement (“SPPA”).

• Each school, home or commercial business pre purchases electricity on a monthly basis.

• Approximately R 3 000 pre-paid electricity per school or commercial enterprise per month (incl. VAT) for ~ 6kVA power (6000 watt hours per day);

• R600 pre-paid electricity per household per month (incl. VAT) for ~ 1.06kVA power (10617 watt hours per day);

• For all you can eat power (fair usage policy in place);

• The connection includes access to InovaMedia providing movies, series, sport and gospel shows as a free subscription on demand service to LivPak home users;

• Our InovaLearn Program provides access to proven digital education.
